Hewlett-Packard is apparently using Nagios as the basis of its Platform Control Center (PCC), which is used to manage its StorageWorks RISS (Reference Information Storage System) 1.1. The RISS system is apparently used to archive company email messages for long-term storage in the event they are needed for litigation purposes, etc. This information appeared in an April 20th, 2006 Storage Advisor Middle East artitle titled “HP plots an effective e-mail archiving grid”.
