I’m pleased to announce the start of a new “Meet The Community” interview series. “Meet The Community” is intended to get the Nagios Community to get to know the greater community better and learn about exciting happenings – all in an effort to increase communication, collaboration, and understanding.
As part of this series we’ll be interviewing Nagios users, community contributors, and developers. These interviews will allow you to get a better understanding of who people are, what value they see in Nagios, why they contribute, and what their project plans are for the future. We’ll also be including members of the greater Open Source community in these interviews – for example, Tobi Oetiker – author of RRDTool, Smokeping, and MRTG.
The series will be presented in a mixed media format: videos, podcasts, and text interview styles will all be used. The series will have no specific schedule, but we intend to do at least one interview per month.
To kick things off, our first episode of the “Meet The Community” series is with Michael Medin – author of the popular NSClient++ Nagios addon for Windows. Watch the interview here.
If you would like to participate in future “Meet The Community” interviews, please send an email to interviews@nagios.org and let us know what you’d like to be interviewed about.
